As a father himself to a teenage son, James understands the importance of quality education and childcare, and this is why Three Little Birds’ nurseries are designed to be an extension of parents’ homes – offering a safe happy and inspiring environment to support families through their busy and challenging lives.

James extends The Three Little Birds mantra of happiness, wellbeing, education and knowledge to his wonderful family of staff who do a grand job of delivering amazing, creative childcare every day.

He is renowned for telling ‘dad jokes daily which everyone finds hilarious (of course!)

Edward was the Head of Property and Facilities for Asquith Nurseries for 5 years. His key focus was running a £12m capital program focusing on new acquisitions and nursery building re-fits – from brand new builds to £2m extensions. Alongside this Edward built and managed a team of 12, including a garden refit team to design and build the next generation of gardens. Edward also created a new bespoke Asquith brand for the nurseries which was implemented in new sites and acquisitions. Previous to this Edward was a quality and standards manager for 4 years looking after the health and safety of 30 children’s nurseries, from all aspects including audits, training, reporting and RIDDOR. He is currently the co-owner director of Bambini Recruitment – an Early Years bespoke recruitment company. …

Nursery Principal

Oana a mother of two teenage sons had been working in childcare for over 10 years prior to joining West Finchley Nursery & Preschool. She has a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years and a level 3 in Management and Leadership. She had previously managed two early years setting, prior to joining us. She started her journey with West Finchley Pre School in December 2016 and ever since has enjoyed being part of the growth of the nursery. One of the things she loves the most about her job is the innovation West Finchley Pre School brings to teaching and learning in early years I enjoy being part of such a creative team of practitioners , teachers and an amazing chef . No day is the same as another and although days are often challenging, they are always rewarding. For Oana the highlight of her week is being able to support staff in meeting our family’s individual needs every day Oana is passionate about creating strong close bonds with all our families to support their children’s journey at West Finchley Pre School.

I am proud to say that at West Finchley Pre School we are creating a community where children, families and staff feel welcomed and look forward to coming to each and every day.

Joana loves providing consistency for the children in our care and creating and fostering a love of learning within the nursery setting. She enjoys inspiring staff on a day to day basis creating and sharing new ideas to support all the children in our care. She is looking forward to using her experience in supporting the nursery grow and deliver the best childcare for our children. She believes in having a strong partnership with parents to ensure their children grow into confident learners.
In her spare time she likes taking long walks and bike rides. She enjoy reading and spending time with friends and is fluent in Portuguese and loves visiting her extended family in Portugal.
